Maximum Security Juveniles Set for OBS March

Champion Maximum Security reaches the next milestone in his stallion career at the OBS March 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale when five of his juveniles are offered in Ocala, Florida.

His first through the ring is Hip 34, a half-sister to three winners offered by Bluejay Stables. Bred by Pippa’s Hurricane, she is out of the Big Brown mare Athehsa. That mare is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner and Grade I-placed Medallist, Grade III winner Air Commander, and Grade II-placed Formidable.

Five of Athehsa’s first six dams are stakes producers with many of them also producing stakes performers.

Ortiz Training Stable consigns Hip 347, a colt out of Medaglia d’Oro mare Jost d’Oro. Bred by Palm Beach Racing in Florida, the colt is a half-brother to multiple stakes winner Josdesanimaux and five-time winner Beaumarchais.

The colt’s granddam is the dual Grade I winner Jostle, who not only was a top-level race mare but also a successful broodmare. Her eight winners include multiple stakes winner Adirondack King, stakes winner Nobrag Justfact, and Grade III-placed Fire Assay with three of Jostle’s daughters also producing stakes performers.

A half-brother to Grade III winner Gibberish sells with Adios Amigos as Hip 505 after clocking :10.1 for his breeze at the Under Tack Show.

The Dell Ridge Farm-bred is also a half-sister to stakes-placed Carom with the trio out of Pulpit mare Nippy. Nippy is a half-sister to Grade II winner and multiple Grade I-placed Well Monied, Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Economic Model, Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Happy American and two other stakes winners out of Quiet American daughter Queen of America. In all, that mare has eight winners from 11 runners.

Happy American added more blacktype to this page on January 20 when third in the Grade III Louisiana Stakes and Well Monied’s Justify runner won on February 28. Another runner out of one of this colt’s dam’s half-sisters is undefeated in two starts this year as well.

This colt is bred on a similar cross to multiple stakes performer Clockstrikestwelve with all six runners by Maximum Security’s sire and out of Pulpit mares winning at least one race.

A half-sister to Munnings’ Grade II winner Ginobili is the dam of Hip 663 consigned by Fast Horses.

Bred by George E. Bates Trustee, the filly sold as a weanling and yearling before going through the ring here. She is the second foal out of 12-time winner and stakes-placed Silly Factor with her first working in Kentucky and registering bullets in two of her recent works.

Silly Factor’s Grade III-placed dam Find The Humor has a 100% winner to runner production rate from her six to run and herself is a full sister to Grade II winner Quick Wit and a half-sister to the dam of stakes winner Veeson. Each of Silly Factor’s first four dams have produced at least one stakes performer with three of those producing stakes winners.

A Gina Gennell-bred filly out of 15-time winner Silver Sashay closes out Maximum Security’s offerings when selling as Hip 667 from the Julie Davies consignment after breezing in :10.1.

Silver Sashay already has one winner from one to race and is a half-sister to three winners out of River of Faith with that group including five-time winner Man of Faith. There are 11 stakes winners named on the page with Grade I-placed Jayyed and Grade II-placed Tayba two of the other three stakes placed runners.

The OBS March 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale kicks off at 11am on March 12 with sessions starting at the same time the following two days as well.
