Maximum Security’s First In-Foal Mares Offered At Keeneland

Champion Maximum Security gets his first taste of the commercial market over the next two weeks when 11 mares carrying foals from his first crop are scheduled to go through the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

Maximum’s Security first through the ring comes from Paramount Sales as part of the group offered by Gary and Mary West as Hip 704. The 8-year-old Tocco is a half-sister to Grade I winners Coil and Chiropractor among the four stakes performers out of Eversmile. Eversmile is a half-sister to champion Possibly Perfect and has produced seven winners from eight to race, including Tocco.

Bred to Maximum Security on a March 26 cover, Tocco also has a 2-year-old Classic Empire filly named Miscreant among her two foals.

The dam of stakes-placed O Seraphina, Deherewego goes through the ring as Hip 1218 for Four Star Sales. A half-sister to Grade III winner Uncle Denny and stakes-placed Infinite Faith, Deherewego is also a half-sister to the dam of multiple graded stakes winner Limousine Liberal. A winning racehorse, Deherewego has produced four winners from four to race with her four winners having a combined 12 victories between them.

By the legendary broodmare sire Giant’s Causeway, American Classic is offered by Paramount Sales as Hip 1560. A full sister to Grade II-placed Restoring Hope, American Classic is also from the family of Grade I winner Little Baby Bear and 19-time winner and stakes winner Nice To Know. Maximum Security’s sire New Year’s Day has three winners from four runners out of Giant’s Causeway mares.

Hermitage Farm is presenting one of the first mares to visit Maximum Security this year – Beestrong, bred to him on a February 19 cover for her first foal. Going through the ring as Hip 1580, the Broken Vow mare is out of the stakes winning Joyful Chaos, who has produced two stakes producers. Among Joyful Chaos’s daughters is the dam of Grade III winner and Grade II-placed Chaos Theory and the dam of No Nay Never’s stakes winning Mae Never No.

If you’re looking for a mare with an active produce record, Hip 3484 from Ballysax Bloodstock is it. What A Lily mare has seen three of her foals win recently and is the dam of five winners overall, including 10-time winner Vlad Asquifar and her 2-year-old Murgatroyd.

Bred to Maximum Security on a March 23 cover, the mare also has a yearling Classic Empire filly to come.

The Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale starts on November 10 with a noon session. Each of the nine sessions after that one takes place at 10am daily.
