Munnings head shot

Munnings Filly Most Expensive Of First OBS Session

Days after siring two stakes winners over the weekend, Munnings was again back on top when his filly out of Private Feeling was the most expensive filly of the opening session at the OBS Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds In Training sale.

Purchased for $425,000 by Fawzi Nass, the filly consigned by Eddie Woods is a half-sister to Munnings’ champion studmate Lookin At Lucky and multiple graded stakes winner Kensei. A family full of producers, Private Feeling is also a half-sister to the granddam of champion Wait A While and American Pharoah’s Grade III-placed Royal Act.

“Munnings, great page, a very nice filly, very well-produced by Eddie Woods, as always. She looked immaculate. She ticked all the boxes,” agent Gerard Butler told Thoroughbred Daily News after signing the ticket on behalf of Nass. “If you're going to buy anything nice now you're going to have to pay. You wouldn't get her for any less.”

Bred by SF Bloodstock and breezing in :21.0 at last week’s breeze show, this was the first time the filly had gone through the sales ring.

A top stallion who is booked full for 2021, Munnings has seven left to go through the OBS ring this week.
