Munnings’ Finest Sells for $300,000 In Opening Keeneland Session
Munnings’ daughter Munnings’ Finest was the third most expensive in-foal mare of the opening Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale session when Cary Bloodstock bought her for $300,000 on behalf of Coteau Grove Farms.
Offered by Sequel New York carrying a foal by Authentic, Munnings’ Finest is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Baffle Me and stakes-placed Locksley Hall among her dam’s eight winners from nine to race.
That dam, Wonderously, is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Forest Music, who produced three graded stakes winners including Uncle Mo’s Grade III winner Uncle Chuck.
Registering the second highest gross of the session behind Justify, Munnings’ 6 sold averaged $140,667 with his others selling for $240,000, $110,000, etc.
