Munnings off the mark
Natural Order (2c Munnings-Allure D’Amour, by Giant’s Causeway) became the first winner for the outstanding Munnings when making a winning debut at Doncaster in Britain on Saturday night.
Trained by Karl Burke for owner Hubert John Strecker, the colt - a $65,000 purchase from last year’s Keeneland September Sale - came to the races with a good reputation and was sent off favourite as he scored under Danny Tudhope.
The Racing Post’s Analysis noted: “There´s good reason to think NATURAL ORDER might prove a bit better than the bare form. He was well supported beforehand .... and stuck his head out in willing fashion to win on his debut. Karl Burke said afterwards that he expects this American-bred to improve a good deal.”
