Munnings Strikes Again at Keeneland

Munnings continued his march through the Keeneland September Sale on Saturday when his fifth session offerings were led by a $350,000 Glen Hill Farm homebred.

Purchased by Mike Ryan, the colt is a half-brother to Grade III-placed Emphatically and four other winners from five to race. Their dam is the Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Indy Groove, an A.P Indy daughter of Grade III winner Niner’s Home.

In addition to being the granddam of multiple stakes winner Tanika, Niner’s Home is also a half-sister to the Grade I winner Home At Last.

BSW/Crow Colts Group was the winning bidder on a $275,000 colt out of Tiz Dixie consigned by Machmer Hall Sales for Machmer Hall.

Out of the unraced Tiznow mare Tiz Dixie, his only sibling to race out of the young mare is the stakes winner and Grade III-placed Never Surprised. Tiz Dixie is a half-sister to stakes-placed Mineswept while their dam is a half-sister to Grade II winners Limehouse and Blues and Royals.

Munnings’ six sold on Saturday averaged $182,500 with a median of $195,000. He also had yearlings sell for $200,000, $190,000, etc. during Saturday’s session.
