Nine On Offer By Maximum Security at Fasig-Tipton
Champion Maximum Security sees nine from his first crop go through the ring this week at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale with at least one yearling offered on each day.
Offered by Shawhan Place, Hip 182 is the first on offer by his sire. Bred by Hume Wornall, the colt is the second foal out of the winning Broadway Diner. That mare is out of a half-sister to champion and Grade I Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense and stakes winner Elusive Sparkle. Elusive Sparkle is also the dam of stakes winner and eight-time winner Camdus.
Under his fourth dam is the stakes winning Binalegend, who is the matriarch of a family that includes six stakes performers including Uncle Mo’s Grade I-placed Motown Lady.
Hip 261 offered by Highgate Sales is a half-sister to two winners from two to race out of Classic Brit.
Bred by Parrish Hill Farm and Ashford Stud, the filly’s dam is a half-sister to Grade III winner and multiple Grade I-placed Ice Bear. Classic Brit’s half-sister also produced stakes winners Midnight Mojo while another is the granddam of the stakes winning Romani Kalibre.
This page also includes Grade I winners Mizzen Mast, Shareef Dancer, Slew of Reality, Slew The Moon, Teal, and Star Standing.
Hip 883 had plenty of updates after the catalog was released, including a stakes winner. The Sheltowee Sales-consignee is a half-brother to the stakes-placed Allen’s Rocket, who has updated earnings with another sibling also seeing his earnings rise. However, it’s an unraced half-sister that provided the biggest update. Blue Gallina already had two stakes performers under her name, including Grade III winner Flat Out Speed, but her juvenile colt went above and beyond to win the Grade II Bourbon Stakes earlier this month.
Bred by Dr. Sherry Lee Talowsky, each of his four dams on the page have also produced at least one stakes performer with three of them producing stakes winners. The colt also sees Grade I winners Victory Speech, and Ida Delia on the page.
St George Sales consigns the George E. Bates Trustee-bred Hip 1269 out of the stakes-placed Silly Factor.
This is the second foal out of the mare, who is a half-sister to Munnings’ Grade II winner and Grade I-placed Ginobili and seven-time winner Avalanche. They are all out of the Grade III-placed Find The Humor, who is one of two stakes performers out of Thank The Academy alongside her Grade II winning full brother Quick Wit. This family is full of stakes producers with each of the three dams with racing aged foals all producing at least one stakes performer.
The final Maximum Security to go through the ring is Hip 1570 from Blandford Stud’s consignment.
The filly is a half-sister to the stakes-placed Well Blessed among four winners out of Welcome Addition. Out of a Grade III winner, Welcome Addition is a full sister to multiple Grade I winner Winchester and multiple graded stakes winner Middleburg. The mare’s half-sister is the dam of stakes winner Armoire and granddam of another stakes performer.
There are stakes performers under each of this filly’s dams with two of them producing at least one stakes winner and the dams of stakes winners.
The sale starts at 10am each morning from October 23 to 26 in Lexington, Ky. You can find the pages for all the Maximum Security offerings here.
