Practical Joke’s Practicallyelusive Wins Miss Ohio
It was a third juvenile stakes winner of the year for Practical Joke when Practicallyelusive (2f Practical Joke x To Be Determined, by Elusive Quality) stayed undefeated in the Best of Ohio Miss Ohio Stakes.
Making her second career start in the six-furlong race, Practicallyelusive gunned for the lead and quickly took it. There weren’t any serious challenges for the runner from there and though she drifted wide as she entered the stretch, she was still firmly in control.
Another rival put some pressure on her after that but she shook them off and pulled away to a 3 ¼ length win under a confident Chelsey Keiser.
Practicallyelusive is trained by David Wolochuk for breeder and co-owner Joseph Engelhart alongside Blue Snow Racing Stables and Boots N Bikinis.
This is the second stakes performer out of the winning Elusive Quality mare To Be Determined. The other two of her three winners from four to race are stakes placed Sweet Shild O Mine and four-time winner Midnight In Ohio. To Be Determined is a half-sister to the Grade I-placed Zatter and stakes placed Laxfield Road.
This family also includes Grade I winners Monba, Secret Hello, and Plum Pretty.
To Be Determined has a yearling Mendelssohn colt to come as well.
Practical Joke has eight winners from 23 juvenile starters this year with his three juvenile stakes winners tied with Justify as the most juvenile stakes winners of any North American sire.
