The Gate Fifth Winner for Maximum Security
It was a runaway winner for Maximum Security in Saudi Arabia on Saturday when The Gate (2c Maximum Security x Deherewego, by Dehere) won by 5 ½ lengths on debut.
Racing over six furlongs on the dirt, The Gate raced behind the leaders with a spot on the rail during the early running. By the time the field turned into the stretch, the colt was swung out a few paths and once he had that, he quickly took over.
There wasn’t much left to do but build his lead in the final sixteenth and he easily did that, winning by 5 ½ lengths with only one horse withing seven lengths of him at the line.
Racing for Thamer Mnahi Alosaimi, the colt is trained by B. Alsubaie.
Out of Deherewego, the colt was bred by Tuscany Bloodstock and is a half-brother to the stakes placed duo of O Seraphina and Whichwaze. Their three-time winning dam is a half-sister to Grade III winner Uncle Denny and stakes placed Infinite Faith.
Deherewego’s half-sisters also produced multiple Grade II winner Limousine Liberal and stakes winner Sofia’s Gift among others.
This is the fifth winner for Maximum Security, whose runners also include Group III placed Rosa Salvaje.
