Tiz The Law Filly Romps by 11 Lengths at Churchill
It was the third straight victory for Book'em (2f Tiz the Law x Flummoxed, by Outwork) on Saturday with a win in a Churchill Downs Allowance Optional Claiming Race.
Bret Calhoun entered his trainee in the one-mile dirt race and she quickly made an impression out of the gate. Vying for the lead early on, she had the advantage around the turn and proved to be best from there.
The filly was lightly urged down the stretch before Brian Hernandez Jr. wrapped her up in the final sixteenth to cross the line 11 lengths in front.
Racing for Kat Krik and Wayne Sanders, the filly has never finished worse than second in her four starts with a second on debut to kick off her career.
She was bred by Dixiana Farms out of Uncle Mo granddaughter Flummoxed. That mare is a half-sister to Grade I winner Discreet Lover and two other winners out of Discreet Chat.
Each of Flummoxed’s first six dams have produced stakes performers with her granddam producing three stakes winners and four stakes performers overall.
Tiz the Law leads first crop sires by stakes winners, graded stakes winners, and graded stakes performers and is a close third by earnings in 2024.
