Uncle Mo

Uncle Mo wasted no time in demonstrating similarly outstanding talent as a stallion. His northern hemisphere Graded winners total now stands at over 50 including 15 at the top level. Three of his stallion sons already have at least one Gr.1 winner.

Uncle Mo is making a considerable impact with SEATTLE SLEW blood. Of his Gr.1 winners, Yaupon is out of mare by VINDICATION, while the Belmont S. winner Mo Donegal, the 2023 Pacific Classic winner Arabian Knight and Hollywood Derby winner Mo Town all have dams by sons of A.P. INDY – PULPIT, ASTROLOGY and BERNARDINI respectively. Uncle Mo has the size to suit daughters of TAPIT, broodmare sire of Gr.1 winner Kingsbarns.

Uncle Mo is ideal for MR PROSPECTOR line mares with more than 20 of his Graded winners from this male line.

The GONE WEST branch provided him with Gr.1 winner Gomo and Gr.3 winner Lost Raven (both out of daughters of ELUSIVE QUALITY) and Graded winners Laoban and Souper Hoity Toity (both out of SPEIGHTSTOWN mares).

UNBRIDLED is the broodmare sire of Gr.1 winner Unbridled Mo, while his sons EMPIRE MAKER, UNBRIDLED’S SONG and UNTUTTABLE all rank among the broodmare sires of Uncle Mo’s Graded winners. The Gr.1 Wood Memorial winner Outwork has an EMPIRE MAKER dam, while the Gr.1 winner A Mo Reay has a dam by EMPIRE MAKER’s son PIONEEROF THE NILE. The very speedy Golden Pal has a dam by MIDSHIPMAN, a son of UNBRIDLED’S SONG.

Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist is one of six Gr.1 winners with a Mr Prospector line mare as his second dam. His foals out of AFLEET ALEX mares feature the Gr.1 winner Dream Tree.

Uncle Mo quickly proved himself with the STORM CAT line, siring the top-class Nyquist and the Gr.3 winner Auntie Joy from daughters of FORESTRY. FORESTRY also sired the 2nd dam of Gr.1 winner Arabian Knight. STORM CAT, GIANT’S CAUSEWAY, BLUEGRASS CAT and TALE OF THE CAT are all among the broodmare sires of Uncle Mo’s Graded winners. There are also Graded winners out of mares by three sons of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY, namely GIANT GIZMO (Gr.1 winner Adare Manor), SHAMARDAL and ESKENDEREYA. Uncle Mo has four BTWs inbred either 4x2 or 4x3 to DIXIELAND BAND, including Gr.2 winner King Guillermo.

He also has black-type winners among his small number of foals out of daughters of EL PRADO, KITTEN’S JOY and MEDAGLIA D’ORO. His 2024 2yo Gr.2 winner Showcase is his first runner out of a mare by VIOLENCE, a son of MEDAGLIA D’ORO. His 2024 Gr.3 winner West Hollywood has a dam by GALILEO.
