$600,000 Justify Colt at Keeneland November
The equal highest priced weanling sold at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale was a colt from the first crop of undefeated Triple Crown winner Justify that made $600,000.
Consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent, was bought by Donato Lanni and is out of the Mr Greeley mare Groton Circle.
He is a half-brother to stakes winner Supreme Aura from the family of Group II winners Miss Isella and Sir Cherokee.
“He’s pretty cool; he looked just like Justify,” Lanni said. “We bought him to race; I wanted to buy a nice Justify. He was an amazing racehorse. (The weanling) looked just like him.”
The other weanling to sell for $600,000 was a colt by American Pharoah that was snapped up by M.V. Magnier.
Consigned by Beau Lane Bloodstock, agent, he is a half-brother to multiple Group I winning juvenile Jackie’s Warrior from Unicorn Girl.
Both Justify and American Pharoah are in Australia for Coolmore this spring standing at fees of $66,000 and $55,000 respectively.
