Calyx Juvenile Returns For Third Success
Line Of Force (2c Calyx – Ligne D’Amour, by Galileo) recorded his third success to date when making a winning start for the Joseph Parr stable at Southwell on Thursday.
The son of Calyx carried a double penalty for his previous wins, which came on his first two starts for his former trainer Karl Burke and earned him a rating of 87. Absent since August, the chesnut raced prominently on his first start for new connections and was switched left approaching the two furlong pole. Pushed along to lead a furlong later, he ran on well to score by a head under Alice Bond.
Bred by Zhang Yuesheng’s Yulong Investments, for whom he previously raced, Line Of Force is out of a half-sister to this year’s black-type two-year-old Bounty (No Nay Never).
