Truly Enchanting (No Nay Never) Draws Clear On Debut At Tipperary

Albany A Possibility For Impressive No Nay Never Newcomer

Aidan O’Brien unveiled another smart juvenile on Tuesday in the shape of Truly Enchanting (2f No Nay Never – Alluringly, by Fastnet Rock), who ran out a commanding winner of the fillies’ maiden at Tipperary.

Racing over five furlongs, the bay was ridden prominently by Ryan Moore and was ridden to dispute a furlong from home. She ran on well to win by three lengths and three quarters from Oxford Rock (Starspangledbanner), who finished two and a half lengths clear of the more experienced favourite in third.

“Ryan was delighted with her,” the winning trainer revealed. “He said that she’d have no problem getting six and might even get seven. She was green early but Ryan said they didn’t go mad early, so it gave her a chance to get it together first time. She could come on plenty, so I’d say the Albany is a possibility.” O’Brien had also earmarked the Albany Stakes as his target for Sunday’s impressive newcomer Heavens Gate (Churchill).

Bred by Coolmore out of Epsom Oaks third Alluringly (Fastnet Rock), Truly Enchanting is a half-sister to Group 2 winner Lily Pond (Galileo). The daughter of No Nay Never hails from the family of the brilliant Galileo and Urban Sea.
