Black Type Aspirations For No Nay Never’s Latest Winner
A drop down in trip saw Elanora (3f No Nay Never - Vestavia, by Alhaarth) gain a deserved maiden victory at Navan on Wednesday.
Placed on four previous occasions, the Michael Grassick-trained filly was sent off favourite for the five furlong maiden and was ridden to lead by Billy Lee. Shaken up approaching the final furlong, she kept on well to win by a length and a quarter.
Grassick, who also bred the winner, later commented, “We will put her away now. We would hope she will end up a stakes filly.”
Owned by Joseph Keeling, Elanor is a half-sister to connections’ dual Listed winner Texas Rock (Rock Of Gibraltar).
