Black Type Beckons For No Nay Never Filly

A step up in class may be on the cards for Thank You Next (2f No Nay Never - Two Pass, by Mtoto) after losing her maiden tag at at Kempton on Wednesday.

The Richard Hannon-trained filly finished third on debut last month in a five furlong contest won by subsequent Queen Mary Stakes third Caroline Dale. Stepping up to six furlongs on her second start, she tracked the leader under Pat Dobbs and was asked to quicken from the two furlong marker. Running on strongly, she led close home to beat Chocoya by a nose on the line, the pair racing over two lengths clear of the favourite in third.

Owned by Middleham Park and Steven Rocco, Thank You Next holds entries in two Listed races later this month. The daughter of No Nay Never was bred by Grenane House Stud and is a half-sister to Listed performer Crook (Zoffany).
