Black Type Wootton Bassett Filly Gains Maiden Win

Stakes performer Passefontaine (3f Wootton Bassett - Perpetual Glory, by Dansili) gained a deserved maiden victory when scoring over a mile at Chantilly on Tuesday.

Third on debut and second in a Listed contest next time out, the Madame Miriam Bollack-Badel trained filly was sent off favourite of 16 for the Prix Magdalene. Stephane Pasquier rode the bay to track the leaders, his mount running on to win by a length and a quarter from well-bred colt Rondo.

Passefontaine is owned and bred by her trainer in partnership with Ecurie Noel Forgeard and P Bonnier. She hails from Wootton Bassett’s three-year-old crop that has already yielded eight Stakes winners.
