Churchill Colt Delivers On Debut
Neski Sherelski (3c Churchill – Horse Sense, by Canford Cliffs) justified strong market support to make a winning debut at Dundalk on Wednesday afternoon.
The Joseph O’Brien-trained newcomer was sent off favourite for the ten and a half furlong maiden and settled towards the back of the field under Dylan Browne McMonagle. Making headway from three furlongs out, he raced wide into the straight and was ridden from two furlongs out. He ran on well to lead inside the final 110 yards and kept on to win by a length and a half.
Owned by the Stride Racing Syndicate, Neski Sherelski becomes the first winner bred by M Phelan out of Horse Sense.
