Churchill Filly Powers Home At Saint Cloud

Blue Rose Cen (2f Churchill - Queen Blossom, by Jeremy) built on a promising debut to win Tuesday’s seven furlong maiden at Saint Cloud.

Chasing the leader under Aurelien Lemaitre, she was asked to quicken turning for home and was ridden from over two furlongs out. Running on strongly approaching the final furlong, she led close home and ran on to win by two lengths, with another four lengths back to the third horse.

Blue Rose Cen is trained by Christopher Head for owner/breeder Yeguada Centurion. The daughter of Churchill is the first foal out of Queen Blossom, herself a Group 3 winner in Ireland and the US.
