Loyal Touch (No Nay Never) Impresses At Carlisle

Classy Colt Completes Double For No Nay Never

Loyal Touch (2c No Nay Never - Devoted To You, by Danehill Dancer) confirmed himself a smart prospect when running out a clear winner of Friday’s Novice Stakes at Carlisle.

Charlie and Mark Johnston’s charge had finished third on both of his previous starts, most recently in a competitive Goodwood maiden won by The Foxes (Churchill). Stepping up to a mile on Friday, he was ridden to make all by Franny Norton, who asked his mount to quicken from two furlongs out. Boasting a clear advantage a furlong later, he was pushed out to win by a comfortable four and a half lengths, with another three lengths back to the third.

Owned by Jaber Abdullah and bred by Barronstown Stud, Loyal Touch is a half-brother to Irish Derby victor Sovereign (Galileo).

Rose Prick (2f No Nay Never - Ornelia Ruee, by Sea The Stars) completed the first leg of a double on the day for No Nay Never when getting off the mark over seven furlongs at Newbury.

The Ed Walker-trained filly finished second last time out and was ridden by Saffie Osborne for the first time on Friday. Held up at the back of the field, she made headway from two furlongs out and was forced to switch left for a clear run. Keeping on well under pressure, she led close home to score by a length.

Owned by David Ward, Rose Prick was bred by Viktor Tymoshenko and Andrey Milovanov.
