Consistent Churchill Filly Gets Off The Mark
Madame Ambassador (2f Churchill - Lady Jane Digby, by Oasis Dream) made a successful step up in trip to gain a deserved maiden win at Nottingham on Tuesday.
Placed on all her previous starts, the Mark Johnston-trained chesnut raced prominently as she stepped up to an extended mile and was ridden to lead approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well under William Buick, she scored by a length and three quarters on the line.
Owned and bred by Kirsten Rausing, Madame Ambassador hails from the first crop of Churchill, who is responsible for two Stakes performers to date.
