Consistent Starspangledbanner Filly Gets Off The Mark
Notoriously Risky (3f Starspangledbanner - Precariously Good, by Oasis Dream) made all to gain a deserved maiden victory at Chelmsford on Thursday evening.
Previously placed on multiple occasions, Jane Allison’s homebred was reunited with Hollie Doyle as she returned to six furlongs. Ridden approaching the final furlong, she kept on strongly to beat the favourite by a length and three quarters.
The daughter of Starspangledbanner is bred on a similar cross to Stakes winning and Group 1 placed juvenile Flotus (Starspangledbanner), who sold for 1,000,000gns at Tattersalls earlier this week. The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained filly was knocked down to Katsumi Yoshida, whose representative Shingo Hashimoto commented, “I haven't decided if she will race on, I need to talk with my boss in Japan and see how it goes. It could go either way, but if she's going to race again she will stay here. She has put up some pretty outstanding performances so I'm very excited to buy her.”
