Coventry Stakes Winner Arizona Well-Represented At Goffs

The first yearlings by Arizona are expected to prove popular at the Goffs Orby Sale, where the son of No Nay Never is represented by a pair of colts in Part 1 and another ten in Part 2.

Clifton Farm set the tone with their Arizona colt (Lot 50) out of dual Listed winner Rock Of Ridd. Multiple Group winner Bank Of Burden appears under the second dam, while five-time Grade 1 winner Majesty’s Prince features further down the page.

Wraymount Stud’s Arizona colt also boasts a fine pedigree, being out of a full-sister to a black-type performer and producer, while his third dam is multiple Group 1 winner Lochsong.

Pat O’Kelly’s Kilcarn Stud was among the breeders who supported Group 2 Coventry Stakes victor Arizona in his first season at stud. The legendary nursery offer a half-sister to Stakes performer Mar Mar through The Castlebridge Consignment as Lot 570.

Another notable sibling in Part 2 of the Orby Sale is Lot 558 from Loughmore Stables, who is a half-brother to Stakes winner Rajinsky.

Two Arizona fillies have benefitted from black-type updates ahead of the sale. Lot 688 from McCracken Farms is a half-brother to dual winner Panic Alarm, who recently finished second in the Grade 3 La Jolla Handicap. Glenspring Farm offer a half-sister to Listed winner Bolthole (Lot 729), who has now placed in two Group 3 contests.
