Drop In Trip Proves Just The Trick For Mastercraftsman Filly

A drop back in trip saw Merriebelle Farm homebred Isabella Brant (3f Mastercraftsman - Walk In Beauty, by Shamardal) gain her maiden win over a mile and a half at Ripon on Saturday.

Third last time out over two miles, she was sent off favourite under Rossa Ryan, who rode her to track the leaders for much of the way. Pushed along from three furlongs out, she led approaching the final furlong and ran on to hold off dual winner Rory And Me by a neck.

The Ralph Beckett-trained filly is a half-sister to Listed winner and Grade 1 second Walk In Marrakesh, and is bred on similar lines to dual Group 1 winner Amazing Maria (Mastercraftsman).
