The well-regarded Law Of Design (2g Sottsass – Areeda, by Refuse To Bend) shaped like a smart prospect when winning Saturday’s seven furlong novice stakes at Ascot in commanding fashion.

Brian Meehan’s charge finished third behind more experienced rivals at Newmarket last month, but faced a previous winner and a 450,000gns purchase on his second start.
