Exciting Starspangledbanner Filly Remains Unbeaten

Impressive debut winner Chasing Dreams (2f Starspangledbanner - A Huge Dream, by Refuse To Bend) made a successful return on Friday to remain unbeaten.

The Charlie Appleby-trained filly had not been seen since winning by five lengths at Newmarket in April, but that did not deter the market from sending her off favourite for the six furlong Novice Stakes.

William Buick made all aboard the Godolphin-owned chesnut, pushing her along from two furlongs out and began to draw clear entering the final furlong. The winning distance was three lengths, as Quick Recap (No Nay Never) finished the same distance clear of the third.

Bred by ORS Bloodstock and Stanley House Stud, Chasing Dreams was bought by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock as a yearling for 750,000gns. She is a half-sister to dual Listed winner Mrs Gallagher, out of a black-type half-sister to top miler Xtension and to the dam of Harry Angel.
