Wild Iris (No Nay Never) Wins On Debut at Newcastle

Future Looks Bright For No Nay Never Filly

The future looks bright for Wild Iris (2f No Nay Never - Aspasi, by Dalakhani), who produced a fine debut performance in Friday’s seven furlong Novice Stakes at Newcastle.

Trained by John Gosden for Lady Bamford, the daughter of No Nay Never looked an unlikely winner after losing many lengths at the start, but began to make smooth headway from four furlongs out. Leading approaching the final furlong, the bay was ridden out to score by two and a quarter lengths from fellow newcomer Vision Of Victory (Camelot).

Bred by Rifa Mustang Europe, Wild Iris becomes the first winner out of Aspasi, herself a half-sister to four Stakes horses, including Group 1 Prix Jean Prat third Ershaad .
