Neufbosc (Mastercraftsman) winning the Listed Prix de l’Avre at Paris Longchamp

G1 Grand Prix de Paris for Mastercraftsman Listed winner

Trainer Pia Brandt believes that Neufbosc (3c Mastercraftsman-Nonsuch Way, by Verglas) will develop into a G1 performer this season after scoring in Listed company at Longchamp on Thursday.

Gerard Augustin-Normand’s Mastercraftsman colt, an easy Chantilly maiden winner in February, will be targeted at the G1 Grand Prix de Paris after this victory over Camelot son King Of Camelot (3c Camelot-Miss Emma May, by Hawk Wing) in the Listed Prix de l’Avre.

“He’s turned into a racehorse and accelerated really well,” said Brandt. “His aim is the G1Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris. He will have a race before that, probably in the G3 Prix du Lys Longines. He stays 1m 4f but has speed and must preserve it for the end. He’s not a heavy ground horse.”

Neufbosc was bred in France by Franklin Finance S.A.
