G3 success for Galileo at Ascot

Quest For Peace (3c Galileo-Play Misty For Me, by Danehill Dancer) continued his progressive campaign with a comfortable success in the G3 Cumberland Lodge Stakes at Ascot. The three-year-old, victorious in a Roscommon Listed contest on his final outing for Aidan O’Brien in July, made an ideal start for his new trainer Luca Cumani as he stayed on well to beat last year’s Ladbrokes St Leger winner Arctic Cosmos by two lengths. "He's done some very good work at home, he's been working out of his boots," winning jockey Kieren Fallon told sportinglife.com afterwards "It was a messy race, they didn't go very quick in front but it picked up from five out which helped him. "He's got a big future, he's a lovely, sensible horse with a great nature and hopefully he will go the right way." Cumani added: "I'm very, very grateful to Terry Henderson and his partners for buying horse, he's a great addition to the yard. We got him going recently and he's been looking good. "He'll probably have one more run this year and then we'll leave it for next year with him. He was in very good condition when he came and I'm pleased to have him."
