Gustav Klimt Colt Draws Clear On Debut

Sopran Blakey (2c Gustav Klimt - Perino, by Speightstown) provided Gustav Klimt with first crop success when making an impressive debut at Milan on Tuesday.

Gustav Klimt himself won two of his three starts as a juvenile, beginning with taking a Curragh maiden and went on to capture the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket. The son of Galileo returned to win the 2,000 Guineas Trial and was subsequently placed in four Group 1 contest from six furlongs to a mile. Furthermore, Gustav Klimt boasts huge appeal on pedigree, as he hails from the top-class family of Kodiac and Invincible Spirit.
