Gustav Klimt Colt Gains Deserved Maiden Victory

Kazzam (2c Gustav Klimt - Classic Falcon, by Dubawi) became the latest first crop winner by Gustav Klimt when justifying favouritism in Wednesday’s maiden at Naples.

Placed on four previous occasions, the Agostino Affe-trained bay made all of the running in the nine furlong contest and kept on well under Francesco Dettori to win by a head.

Owned by Blue Castle Stable, Kazzam was bred by Mrs Maria Marron and is a half-brother to four-time winner Gaduli De L’Alguer (Highland Reel). Gustav Klimt’s first crop also includes Stakes performer Sopran Blakey (Gustav Klimt).
