Highland Reel Filly Draws Clear At Newmarket

Reel Rosie (3f Highland Reel - Lady Canford, by Canford Cliffs) continued her progression with a commanding victory at Newmarket on Thursday.

Successful on debut last season, the Edward Bethell-trained bay finished second on her next two starts and was sent off favourite to record her second win on Thursday. She chased the leader for much of the mile contest, with Andrea Atzeni pushing her to lead two furlongs from home and kept on strongly to score by four lengths.

Reel Rosie was bred by Oldcourt Stud and hails from the first crop of globetrotting star Highland Reel.
