Nor Time Nor Tide (Ten Sovereigns) Wins The Rated Race At Killarney

Impressive Back-To-Back Wins For Ten Sovereigns Colt

Nor Time Nor Tide (2c Ten Sovereigns - On Ice, by Galileo) shaped like a future Stakes horse when running out a commanding winner of Tuesday's Rated Race at Listowel.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained colt encountered subsequent Stakes performers on his first two starts, and after placing in both, drew clear to an easy maiden victory last month. Racing over a mile on Tuesday, he led after two furlongs and travelled strongly throughout under Conor Stone-Walsh. Quickening on the turn for home, he was ridden from the two furlong marker and began to draw clear inside the final furlong. He kept on to beat the favourite by two and a half lengths, with another length and three quarters back to the third.

A step up in class may now be on the cards for Nor Time Nor Tide, who holds an entry in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes. Owned by breeder Ann Marie O’Brien with Mrs John Magnier and Michael Tabor, the progressive colt continues a smart start at stud by freshman sire Ten Sovereigns.
