Impressive Two-Year-Old Winner For Zoffany

Johan (2c Zoffany - Sandreamer, by Oasis Dream) ran out an impressive winner of the Novice Stakes at Lingfield on Saturday, continuing a excellent few days for his sire Zoffany.

Just a day after Dolphin Vista (Zoffany) gained his second Stakes success, Johan was sent off favourite following his debut fourth last month. The William Haggas-trained colt made virtually all the running under Tom Marquand and was pushed along to maintain the advantage from two furlongs out. Drawing clear inside the final furlong, he beat the second favourite Rovaniemi by three and a half lengths, with another two lengths back to the third horse.

Bred and owned by Jon and Julia Aisbitt, Johan is the third foal and second winner out of Listed scorer Sandreamer. Zoffany commands €25,000 at Coolmore Stud.
