More To Come From No Nay Never Colt After Debut Win
Mystery Power (2c No Nay Never - Gems, by Haafhd) defied inexperience when beating the hot favourite to win on debut at Haydock on Saturday.
Ridden in mid-division by Rossa Ryan, the Richard Hannon-trained colt showed signs of greenness when asked to challenge two furlongs out but ran on to lead entering the final furlong. He was ridden out to hold off Subjectivist by a length, as the first three finished nine lengths clear of the rest of the field.
Owned by King Power Racing and bred by Siobhan O’Rahilly, Mystery Power was bought by Sackville Donald as a yearling for 250,000gns, having cost €110,000 as a foal. He is a half-brother to Group 3 runner-up Seaella, while his dams siblings include multiple Stakes winner Frank Sonata and Sweet Solera Stakes heroine Peaceful Paradise.
Mystery Power provides a nice update for his yearling half-brother by Australia, who was bought by Glenvale Stud for €56,000 as a foal last November.
