Sindhia (Mastercraftsman) Wins Her Maiden At Dundalk

More To Come From Well Bred Mastercraftsman Filly

The Michael Halford-trained Sindhia (3f Mastercraftsman - Sinaniya, by More Than Ready) stayed on well to justify favoritism in Friday’s seven furlong maiden at Dundalk.

Second in a similar maiden last time out, the Aga Khan homebred chased the pace under Ronan Whelan and made headway from over two furlongs out. Pushed to dispute the lead over a furlong from home, the bay kept on well to win by a length, as the first two home finished over four lengths clear of the third horse.

Speaking after the race, the winning jockey said, “I'm delighted to get that for her, she's a lovely big scopey filly with a good pedigree so it's important to get a bracket. She's only going to improve - the better the grade, the better she'll be.”

The daughter of Mastercraftsman is a half-sister to this season’s rapid improver Sonaiyla; a Listed winner and Group 1 placed in the Flying Five Stakes.
