Newcomer Continues Meade’s Success With Mastercraftsman

Technique (3f Mastercraftsman - Lifting Me Higher, by Sea The Stars) made a faultless start to her racing career when landing the Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton on Monday afternoon.

Racing over nine and a half furlongs, the Martyn Meade-trained newcomer raced prominently throughout and quickened on the inside rail approaching the turn for home. Ridden to lead in the straight, she ran home strongly to deny New Exceed by half a length on the line.

Owned by Mantonbury Stud, the Technique was bred by the Pocock Family. Martyn Meade has previously enjoyed success with Castlehyde Stud sire Mastercraftsman, having trained Technician (Mastercraftsman) to win four Stakes races, most notable the Group 1 Prix Royal-Oak.
