No Nay Never As Popular As Ever At Tattersalls Book 2

Church Farm and Horse Park Stud celebrated a successful pinhooking result at Tattersalls Book 2, when selling their No Nay Never colt to MV Magnier for 360,000gns.

JR Bloodstock bought the full-brother to highly-rated juvenile Nope (No Nay Never) from Norelands Stud as a foal for 110,000gns. The bay was bred by Charlie Brooks out of the Galileo mare Bright Sapphire, whose two-year-old Attaj (Caravaggio) finished a promising second in a Newmarket maiden earlier this month.

Oh his purchase, MV Magnier said, “He’s out of a Galileo mare and is a very good mover. When we were down there during the week, John Cullinan was always very high on the horse, and he’s sold plenty of good ones in the past.”

Kitai (No Nay Never) shaped like an exciting prospect when drawing six and a half lengths clear in a six furlong maiden last month and her promise undoubtedly helped push Kevin Ryan to 325,000gns for her full-brother from Barton Stud.

Charlie Gordon Watson secured a pair of No Nay Never colts for a combined 545,000gns on Wednesday, and so it came as little surprise to hear the agent said, “I’m a big fan of the sire.”

He co-signed with Al Shaqab Racing for Manister House Stud’s No Nay Never colt from the family of Kyprios (Galileo), for whom he gave 220,000gns, and went to 325,000gns for Baroda Stud’s colt out of Czabo.

The gavel fell at 315,000gns for a No Nay Never colt offered by Oaks Farm Stables as Lot 1077 the previous day. Stephen Hillen signed for the January-born colt, whose two-year-old brother Roman Spring (Caravaggio) finished second the previous day.
