No Nay Never Colt Builds On Promising Debut
Tiger Crusade (2c No Nay Never - Folle Allure, by Pivotal) followed up on a promising debut to take the six furlong Novice Stakes at Yarmouth on Tuesday afternoon.
Third over seven furlongs at the same track last month, he was sent off favourite of eight under Jamie Spencer. Racing in midfield for much of the race, the bay was switched right approaching the final furlong and despite showing signs of inexperience, ran on to lead close home. The winning distance was half a length, with the same margin back to a previous winner in third.
Trained by David Simcock for Sun Bloodstock and Qatar Racing, Tiger Crusade was bought by Stephen Hillen for €215,000 at the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale. He was bred by Dominique Ades-Hazan and Lily Ades out of Group 3 performer Folle Allure, who is closely related to multiple Stakes winner Nysaean (Sadler’s Wells).
