Royal Commando Becomes The Latest Winner By No Nay Never

No Nay Never Colt Delivers On Promising Debut

Royal Commando (2c No Nay Never - Online Alexander, by Acclamation) took Friday’s Maiden Stakes at Doncaster in fine style for Charlie Hills and owner Ziad A Galadari.

Beaten just three parts of a length on good-to-soft ground on debut last month, he now faced ground described as good-to-firm and was once again partnered by Kieran Shoemark. Tracking the leading pair, the bay made headway to lead over two furlongs out and was ridden clear to score by three lengths and a quarter.

Friday’s win supports Royal Commando’s entry in the Weatherbys £300,000 Two-Year-Old Stakes in September. A 125,000gns yearling buy by Andrew Sime, he was bred by Mountarmstrong Stud out of the Listed-placed mare Online Alexander. His second dam is a half-sister to top sprinter Red Clubs.
