No Nay Never Colt Justifies Favouritism

Royal Mariner (2c No Nay Never - Learza, by High Chaparral) justified strong market support to get off the mark at Lingfield on Wednesday.

Sent off favourite for the six furlong contest, the James Tate-trained colt raced close to the pace under Neil Callan and was pushed to challenge approaching the two furlong pole. Ridden approaching the final furlong, the bay led inside the final 110 yards and kept on to win by a length, with another five lengths back to the third horse.

Owned by Saeed Manana, Royal Mariner becomes the first winner bred by Rabbah Bloodstock out of Learza (High Chaparral).
