No Nay Never Colt Justifies Favouritism On Debut
The Richard Hannon-trained Armor (2c No Nay Never - Hestia, by High Chaparral) shaped with plenty of promise when making a winning debut at Doncaster on Saturday.
The Al Shaqab Racing-owned colt was strongly supported in the market and was sent off favourite for the five furlong maiden under Ryan Moore. Racing prominently, he led approaching the final furlong and was asked to quicken soon after, running on well to win by a length on the line.
A step up in class may be on the cards for the son of No Nay Never, who holds an early entry in the Listed Two Year Old Trophy in October. Bred by CE Stedman, Armor becomes the first winner out of Hestia (High Chaparral).
