No Nay Never Colt Lives Up To The Hype At Goffs
Timmy Hyde Jnr compared Camas Park Stud’s No Nay Never colt to top-class sprinter Ten Sovereigns, who he co-bred, and the market clearly agreed, as the handsome bay fetched €620,000.
Lot 267 will follow Ten Sovereign’s path to Ballydoyle, after MV Magnier outbid Amanda Skiffington and Michael Kinane. “He was always a very good colt,” Timmy Hyde senior later commented. “He was correct in every way, a big fine horse with great movement. The mare was very fast so he’s bred to be quick.” On the colt’s Listed-winning dam Sweet Charity, he revealed, “She has a filly foal by Churchill and is back in foal to No Nay Never.”
Just three lots prior, Ben McElroy and Alex Elliott joined forces to purchase Whitehall Stud’s No Nay Never filly for Amo Racing, at a cost of €300,000. Bred by Mike Aker’s Diamond Creek Farm, the February-born bay is out of a full-sister to Group 3 winner and Irish Derby runner-up Tiger Moth (Galileo).
