No Nay Never Colt Rallies For Group 3 Victory
Henry Adams (2c No Nay Never – Jigsaw, by Galileo) made it two from two when justifying favoritism in Thursday’s Group 3 Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown.
The son of No Nay Never made a winning debut in a Naas maiden earlier this month and remained over seven furlongs on his second start. Leading from the early stages under Ryan Moore, Aidan O’Brien’s charge was asked to quicken upon turning for home and was ridden when challenged approaching the final furlong. The favourite drew clear with Devious (Starspangledbanner), digging deep to prevail by a neck on the line, with another seven lengths back to the third.
Speaking after the race, O’Brien said, “It was a very good performance because the two of them went at it from a long way. He's a fine big, relaxed horse. Ryan said he's a baby still.” Looking to the future, he revealed, “I think he'll go on to the Futurity, he'll probably end up there with Henry Longfellow.”
Owned by Coolmore partners, Henry Adams was bred by Whisperview Trading out of a full-sister to dual Group winner Mohawk (Galileo).
