No Nay Never Colt Sells for £800,000 at the Goffs London Sale

No Nay Mets (2c No Nay Never - Etoile by War Front) was billed as one of the highlights of the Goffs London Sale and duly delivered as he sold to Liam Culman of Tuckernuck Stables for £800,000 on the eve of Royal Ascot.

No Nay Mets booked his ticket to Royal Ascot with an uncontested win in the Royal Palm Juvenile Stakes at Gulfstream Park on May 13th for trainer George Weaver and Bergman Family Racing, and is one of three juvenile stakes winners for his sire already this season.

No Nay Mets will bid to emulate his sire by winning the Gr.2-Norfolk Stakes on Thursday with top jockey Frankie Dettori booked to ride the colt in the five-furlong juvenile contest.

Purchaser Liam Culman was joined at the ring by Goffs’ representative Tom Taaffe, who said of the colt: “He’s going to stay with George to run in the Norfolk for a partnership. Liam is very happy to get the horse. Now we’re hoping for a good result at the races.”

The bay was bred by Coolmore and hails from the illustrious family of Gr.1-Derby winner Pour Moi and Gr.1-Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf victrix Pizza Bianca (Fastnet Rock). No Nay Mets was sold as a yearling by Baroda Stud at Arqana for €180,000.
