No Nay Never Colt Shows True Colours In Dundalk Maiden
The Donnacha O’Brien-trained Lesson Learned (2c No Nay Never - All To Do With It, by Canford Cliffs) shaped like a useful type when landing the mile maiden at Dundalk on Friday.
Racing prominently under Gavin Ryan, the Leonard Green-owned colt was ridden to lead approaching the final furlong and kept on well to score by half a length.
Speaking after the race, O’Brien said, “He’s very tough and tries very hard. We’d hope he could be a Stakes horse.”
Lesson Learned was bred by Lynch Bages Ltd out of a half-sister to the dam of Group 1 performer The Irish Rover (No Nay Never).
