No Nay Never Colts Dominate Hot Maiden
The Caribbean (2c No Nay Never - Shermeen, by Desert Style) led home a 1-2 for No Nay Never in Wednesday’s competitive maiden at Fairyhouse.
Aidan O’Brien’s charge made a promising debut at York and went on to finish second over course and distance last month. Well-supported on his third start, he was ridden prominently by Killian Hennessy and asserted two furlongs from home. Ridden out inside the final furlong, he kept on well to win by half a length, as runner-up Innate (No Nay Never) drew two and a quarter lengths clear of the third.
A step up in class may now be on the cards for The Caribbean, who holds Group 1 entries later in the season. The son of No Nay Never was bred by Barronstown Stud and is owned by Coolmore partners with Westerberg.
