No Nay Never Colts In Demand At Arqana
Sons of No Nay Never proved extremely popular at Friday’s Arqana Breeze Up Sale held at the Goffs UK complex, where they each fetched £300,000 and £220,000.
Lot 48, already named Macchiavello, contributed to a terrific day’s trade for Grove Stud when selling to Alex Elliott and Jamie McCalmont for £300,000. After signing the docket, Elliott confirmed that the colt would be trained in England andsaid, “He’s by an exceptional sire in No Nay Never, he did an exceptional breeze and he was an exceptional physical.”
The €110,000 yearling purchase is the first foal out of Mona Vale (Zoffany) and hails from the family of Lord Glitters and Morandi.
Later in the sessions, a son of No Nay Never (Lot 99) returned a handsome profit for Gaybrook Lodge Stud when selling to David Redvers for £220,000. A 90,000gns yearling purchase, the bay is a half-brother to three winners out of Group 2 performer Sound Of Guns.
