No Nay Never Filly Captures Group 3 Feature
A step up to Group 1 level is on the cards for Caroline Street (3f No Nay Never - Harvestfortheworld, by So You Think) after winning the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes on her seasonal return at Naas.
The Joseph O’Brien-trained filly emerged as a smart prospect when winning at Leopardstown on debut last summer and followed up with a fine second to Auguste Rodin in the Group 2 Champions Juvenile Stakes. Off since September, she stepped up to ten furlongs on reappearance and was given a patient ride by Dylan Browne McMonagle. Making headway approaching the final furlong, she was ridden to lead inside the final furlong and kept on well to beat stablemate Lumiere Rock (Saxon Warrior) by half a length. Red Riding Hood (Justify) finished third.
“I was quite impressed with Caroline Street,” Joseph O’Brien said after the race. “We might look at the Pretty Polly for her, and maybe the Irish Guineas, but there is the Saratoga Oaks in the autumn which is a nice target for her.”
Owned by Marc Detampel and Michael Buckley, Caroline Street was bred by Grantley Acres, R Conner and R Davidson out of the Group-placed So You Think mare Harvestfortheworld.
