No Nay Never Filly Impresses On Debut

Girl Racer (3f No Nay Never - In The Fast Lane, by Jet Master) emerged as a smart prospect when drawing clear to win the seven furlong Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton.

The William Haggas-trained newcomer was sent off second favourite on Monday and raced prominently throughout under Cieren Fallon. Pushed along after the two furlong marker, she led a furlong from home and soon went clear, going on to score by three lengths and three quarters.

Girl Racer is a homebred of the Kieswetter family of Barnane and Ridgemont Studs. The daughter of No Nay Never is out of In The Fast Lane, herself a top performer in South Africa, and whose Starspangledbanner colt sold for 105,000gns in October.
